In the spring and summer of 2009, Alpha Omega Academy® (AOA) students using Switched-On Schoolhouse® (SOS) were given the opportunity to reply to a series of survey questions. Each survey asked a consistent group of questions about a specific subject and the SOS teacher for that subject. Additionally, each survey included questions about another topic, such as the student's use of technology and the student's general experience in AOA.

AOA TwitterHundreds of distance learning students responded positively about their experiences in AOA. In addition, the thoughts and opinions shared by the students offered a great deal of insight, and the Academy's staff and faculty are currently implementing some of the suggestions offered by students. Other ideas offered in the surveys have been given to AOP's product development team for inclusion in future versions of Switched-On Schoolhouse courses. We look forward to implementing several of our students' suggestions and improving each student's experience in AOA!

Of all the statistics gathered from the surveys, perhaps the most telling statistic is that 80% of students said they would recommend Alpha Omega Academy to someone else. Some of the other student responses are included in the charts below:

What do you like the most or the least about AOA? What can Alpha Omega Academy do to help student s be more successful? Feel free to share your opinion on these questions and more in the comment field below. We'd love to hear from you!

This is our first year Homeschooling and so far we are pleased with the school and Alpha Omega. The only thing that would make life a little easier would be to have a Handbook or something in hand to refer to if you have a question. I know that I can always call and there is a wealth of information on line, but actually being able to read from a book works best for me. I love the program and my 9th grade daughter is doing well. My only concern is that I have often felt at a loss for information at my fingertips. Thank you and God Bless you!!

@Lori R - There is a print feature you could use with our online handbook. First get to the handbook by clicking on Campus, AOA Resource Center, then Handbook. To the right of the title, there is an icon of a printer. If you click on this icon, a new window will open that contains all of the articles included in the Handbook. If you print out that page, you'll have all the information you want, right at your fingertips!
