February Facts and Fun Party

What are you doing on February 22? Here's what you should be doing. You should join the party at Alpha Omega Academy. One of your teachers will be hosting a time of fun and fellowship for you and your classmates. Because we celebrate President's Day in February and it is Black History Month, we will be focusing on fun facts in these two categories. Which president chopped down the cherry tree? Who wrote the poem "Dreams"? If you know the answers to these questions (George Washington and Langston Hughes), you will definitely want to be at the party. If you don't have these answers in your memory bank, you will still want to come and contribute to the fun.

AOA Facebook GroupStudents can begin joining us at 2:45 p.m. (CT) on February 22, when we will be doing some chatting and then getting involved in a Jeopardy-style game for about 1½ hours. If you don't feel very competent with your knowledge of black history or presidential facts, you may want to brush up on those. However, the fun is not always in having the correct answer. You never know what may come up when a group of students gets together online for a party.

If you are looking for a break from your studies or would like to get a taste of what the Winter Cele-break-tion provided, be sure to join us for the February Facts and Fun Party. You are sure to have fun, and you might even learn something!

The link to the games will be provided in future email alerts. If you do not receive the email or lose the link the password, feel free to contact the academy.
