Earth Day Website Resources for Students

Earth Day is April 22.

Find ways to observe this holiday and teach your online student the importance of earth stewardship. Here are websites that will help educate your student on the precious resources (both renewable and non-renewable) the earth holds and how to manage them properly for future generations.

We recommend you view these websites together with your student to discuss earth issues, how issues affect your family personally, and ways your family can help contribute to earth conservation.

EarthDay.org
EarthResource.org
Forests.org
Opsociety.org (ocean preservation)
Worldwildlife.org
Wikipedia.org (list of carbon emissions by country)
FuelEconomy.gov (alternative fuel sources)
Epa.gov (recycling)
Sciencebasedlife.wordpress.com (blog post with 100 ways you can personally help the environment)

How do you encourage your student to help preserve the earth?
