GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Twenty-one credits are the minimum needed to earn a high school diploma from Alpha Omega Academy. Some states may have additional graduation requirements that apply to students enrolled in distance learning schools. Check with your state agency or home school support organization for specific guidelines.

One-half credit is earned for each semester of a course that a student successfully completes. Each semester’s work is divided into five or more units, and the semester grade is determined by the average of these unit scores. It typically takes a student around 90 school days to complete a semester, or about 180 school days (nine months) to complete a two-semester course.

Students must be enrolled in the Academy full-time (taking at least four courses) before qualifying as candidates for an Academy diploma. Home school transfer students must earn at least their last five credits through the Academy. Students transferring from accredited schools must earn at least 2.5 credits through the Academy to graduate. High school credits earned prior to Academy enrollment can be accepted based on official transcripts.
