What's Needed before Enrolling
Enrolling is easy, and AOA offers year-long open enrollment. In no time, your student will be enjoying the freedom of learning at an online academy. (Generally, it takes about five business days from registration to course access if choosing the online curriculum.) Please note: application is the first step in the five-step enrollment process.

Step 1
Fill out the Getting Started Form below to have an educational specialist call you to begin the application process. The educational specialist will discuss your student's needs with you.

Step 2
Review curricula options. Our educational specialist will help you learn more about Ignitia™, Switched-On Schoolhouse®, LIFEPAC®, and Horizons.

Step 3
Complete placement tests and send transcripts. To ensure correct placement within curriculum at our online academy, your student will complete easy-to-follow placement tests. (Kindergarten students are not tested.) Previous school records or high school transcripts are required to aid in student placement.

Step 4
Have an advisor consultation. After placement testing and transcripts are received, you and your student will have a consultation session with an academy advisor. In this session, you'll discuss placement test results, course selections, and tuition.

Step 5
You're enrolled! After receipt of tuition payment, you'll be given access to or shipped curriculum materials. You'll also get access to helpful resources like handbooks, procedure guidelines, and more.
How the Application Process Works
Application is step one in the enrollment process. To get more info about applying, you either can complete the Getting Started Form below or call an educational specialist at 800.682.7396. If you submit the online form, an educational specialist will call you to discuss your student's needs.
You can also fill out the form below if you'd like receive tuition information.
For returning students, the process can be initiated by filling out the Getting Started Form below. (Just select returning student.) You can also re-register by simply calling your academy service representative.
