Dennis Kroll — Dean
Supervising the enrollment process and guidance program at Alpha Omega Academy (AOA), Dennis Kroll loves interacting with the parents of AOA's distance learning students. When asked what fulfills him most in his position, Dennis replied, "Helping parents enroll children and seeing them become excited about a new school year after they have had a negative experience in a different school elsewhere."
Dennis went into education because he wanted to make a difference in people's lives. Growing up the seventh of eight children on a farm near Sioux Falls, SD, his parents encouraged him in his efforts. After many years of hard work, he graduated from college with a BA degree in Secondary Education and a MA in East Asian Studies. In the 1980's, Dennis went to China and taught English as a second language for a year. However, when Dennis found himself falling in love with the Chinese people, one year turned into 12. "There was a very real sense of God using me to impact others for him in China," stated Dennis. While living and teaching there, Dennis' good listening skills helped him to master the Chinese language which he still speaks fluently today.
The advancement of Christ's kingdom and a passion for people is foremost important to Dennis. Whether being a godly father and Christian example to his own family or providing guidance counseling to the distance learning families at AOA, Dennis seeks to make the most of each day's tasks and "always be ready to give an answer for the hope that is within him."
