Sarah Schultz — Science Teacher
As Alpha Omega Academy's newest science teacher, Sarah Schultz loves helping her distance learning students understand a challenging concept they thought they would never comprehend. Whether working with AOA's high school science students online or taking their questions directly over the phone, Sarah uses her degree in General Science Secondary Education to "take the advanced and difficult concepts of chemistry and physics and make them more accessible to students." Motivated, determined, and strong, Sarah brings a fresh enthusiasm to her position and feels most fulfilled as an AOA science teacher when she can see or hear the "light bulb moment" for a student.
Born and raised in Keokuk, Iowa, Sarah experienced a typical midwestern childhood and enjoyed being a ballerina and modeling while she was in high school. Today, when she's not busy with her full-time teaching responsibilities at Alpha Omega Academy, Sarah likes to spend time sewing, reading, singing, and cooking. Although she has been a Christian since she was seven, Sarah's faith has recently been fired up with a new passion for the things of God, especially for the plight of the modern church and its Gospel message. She finds comfort and strength for daily living in the truth of Romans 8:28-29 and the knowledge that no matter what happens, "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."
Motivated by God's grace and the protection of friends who have helped her through some of life's difficulties, Sarah would like to be remembered as someone who tried to bring glory to God in everything she does. Jumping at the opportunity to work at Alpha Omega Academy, she enthusiastically looks forward to helping every student have a better understanding of science.
