Tosha Vogel — Guidance Counselor

Tosha VogelAs a guidance counselor at Alpha Omega Academy (AOA), talking with distance learning students about their futures is the aspect of Tosha Vogel's day that she enjoys most. To make sure school students are appropriately placed in classes, she must review their academic records and make suggestions to parents concerning placement. With an education and degree in Psychology and Human Services, she uses resourcefulness and patient insight to help her discern the best strategy for each AOA student.

Growing up as a young girl in Watertown, SD, Tasha was greatly influenced by her mother's strength and perseverance in raising five children while putting herself through college. Today, as a new mother herself, she's discovering the work involved in raising a Christian family. However, the work doesn't stop her from enjoying the enthusiasm of her little ones. Tosha loves singing, drawing, teaching, and playing with her children when she's not at work.

Tosha would like to be remembered for her laughter and caring spirit and seeks to show patience and understanding while working with AOA distance learning students. Even when she must deal with unpleasant academic integrity issues, she still enjoys the variety of her job. Whether helping students or facing personal responsibilities, Tosha lives by the truth of her life's motto, "Patience is a virtue."
