There are four icon symbols used in SOS.
√ - The red check mark means the assignment requires the teacher to grade something in it. Click here for more information on grading.
√ - The green check mark icon in the Details accessible through the teacher program indicates the corresponding item had been accessed from the student program. For example a green check mark in the details next to problem 5 under the "Answer shown" column means the "Show answer" feature you can access from the Help button in the student program was used in that assignment for question 5. It is also recorded when any of the four features under the help button are used. Click here for more information on the Details button.
! - The red exclamation point means the due date for the assignment has past. If it shows up on an assignment in the Current Schoolwork section, it means the student has not completed the assignment and the due date has past. If the student believes the assignment has been completed he or she may not understand the concept of focus learning used by SOS. Click here for more information on focus learning.
If the assignment is no longer in the student's Current Schoolwork but is listed as a grading task, it means the student has finished but since it requires grading, it is past due for the teacher to grade. Click here for more information on grading.
The icon that looks like a piece of paper with a red X on it indicates that a block has been placed on the assignment. Click here for more information on unblocking an assignment.
