Alpha Omega Academy will host two regional graduation ceremonies and one virtual graduation ceremony to honor the class of 2015 this spring. The first regional ceremony will be held on May 8, 2015 in Dallas, Texas, and the second regional ceremony will be held on June 5, 2015 in Orlando, Florida. Both ceremonies are scheduled to take place at 7:00 p.m.
Each graduation includes a traditional cap and gown ceremony, an address to the graduates, and the presentation of diplomas. The regional ceremonies are also followed by a reception for the graduates, their families, and their friends.
Students who are unable to attend a traditional ceremony can choose to participate in the virtual graduation ceremony at 2:00 p.m. (CT) on Friday, May 22. Broadcasted live online from the campus of Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, the virtual ceremony gives students the flexibility to attend from anywhere in the world! In addition, friends and family members with an Internet connection can watch the ceremony from their own location.
The cost per graduate to participate in a regional ceremony is $170. Participation in the virtual ceremony costs $55 per graduate. Each ceremony fee includes a cap, gown, tassel, senior T-shirt, and a DVD of the ceremony. Students who do not wish to participate in a graduation ceremony may purchase their own cap, gown, and tassel set for $40 (includes shipping).
For an additional $25 per participant, AOA families can take part in an optional outing on the day of graduation known as the Day Away. This is a great opportunity for graduates to engage in team-building activities and get to know their classmates in person. Stay tuned for more details about the 2015 Day Away.
To participate in a graduation ceremony, students must apply by March 27, 2015, and have fewer than 30 units of coursework left to complete by the application deadline. Students who are curious about their current progress may contact their education coordinator with questions.
