As a world and U.S. history teacher at Alpha Omega Academy, Jessica Hunsberger enjoys helping students understand new concepts. Her responsibilities as a teacher include grading projects, answering questions, providing students with feedback, and helping them learn new ways to improve their understanding of historical topics.
“When students who start out struggling with the information reach out for help and then their hard work helps them improve, I feel very grateful to have been part of the process that allows them to have more confidence in their ability to learn,” Hunsberger said.
Originally from Souderton, Pennsylvania, Hunsberger now lives in Missouri. During childhood she was a quiet kid who preferred reading over social interaction. However, she took an interest in drama which helped her break out of that shell as she grew up. Today she enjoys theater from the director’s chair.
Hunsberger’s other hobbies include sweet foods, the movie Singin’ in the Rain, and sports. Each year she completes several brackets for different pools during the college basketball tournament. She also enjoys the company and entertainment of her dachshunds.
