Alyssa Sullivan is an elementary teacher at Alpha Omega Academy, teaching 6th grade Bible, history, math, language, and science classes. She grades coursework, while also communicating directly with parents and students.
“I completely love teaching,” Sullivan said. “My favorite part of my job is working with students. I really enjoy getting to work through problems with students.”
After growing up in a small town in Northwest Missouri, Sullivan attended Missouri State University and graduated in 2015 with a degree in early childhood education. She is currently working towards a master’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis in literacy. Following graduation, she taught in a physical school before accepting joining the staff at AOA.
Sullivan and her husband, Cameron, have a daughter named Harper. She enjoys spending time with family, playing board games, golfing, reading, and fishing. She also loves to travel and participates in “postcrossing,” an exchange project where she can send and receive postcards from all over the world.
Favorite Verse: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
