Cory Sengsouvanna is a science teacher at Alpha Omega Academy. She has over 10 years of experience teaching secondary science courses, as well as over 5 years teaching online courses. While working as a teacher, she completed her master’s degree in school leadership and is currently finishing her educational doctorate degree in curriculum and instruction.
Mrs. Sengsouvanna said the favorite part of her job is connecting with online students during live class sessions.
“I enjoy working with students who have fallen behind in their coursework and need additional support and motivation to get back on track with graduation requirements,” Sengsouvanna said.
Born in Casper, Wyoming, Sengsouvanna said she spent her childhood as a typical mountain girl, filling her day with fishing, hiking in the mountains, and hunting with her dad, mom, and three younger brothers. Today, she enjoys exploring new foods and trying to make them on her own at home. She also said if she could meet anyone from history, she would pick Moses from the Bible.
“I would love to meet Moses and hear about what it was like crossing the Red Sea,” she said.
Favorite Verse: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).
