Holding a bachelor’s degree in English and secondary education, Thadd Harrington is a language arts teacher at Alpha Omega Academy. Harrington learned about AOA after several of his friends joined the school’s faculty, and he enjoys applying his degree in a K-12 online school environment.
Born in Nebraska and raised in the Midwest, Harrington has two older brothers. His favorite sports include wrestling, football, and hockey. He wishes he would’ve pursued other sports such as gymnastics or martial arts; however, at a younger age he wasn’t interested in them. A former Eagle Scout, Harrington hasn’t been able to be involved in Boy Scouts since he moved to college. He does, though, always try to be prepared, never leaving home without his keys, wallet, and phone.
Harrington’s favorite food depends on his mood, but as a self-professing carnivore, he definitely has steak on his list of favorites. His recent hobbies include technical theatre, including set building, lighting, and sound designs. In fact, Harrington is considering switching professions and going back to college to earn a master’s degree in technical theatre. If he could meet anyone, Harrington would like to meet Zac Taylor, a former Nebraska Cornhusker quarterback, who to him personifies taking a bad situation and making the most out of it by sheer force of will.
