This December, several new features and changes were launched that will affect students. First, teachers will now use Zoom to conduct one-on-one student meetings, live classes, and student club meetings. This change is in an effort to have higher security so there is no unmoderated student communication. Students and parents, I encourage you to only allow your students to interact with other AOA students on platforms that can be moderated by AOA staff. The November 2020 student of the month at Alpha Omega Academy is William Gordon, a 6th grade student who lives in the shadows of the Las Vegas Range in Southern Nevada. After attending an online public school, William appreciates the Christian culture of AOA. Likewise, his teachers have appreciated his commitment and dedication to his schoolwork.

The October 2020 student of the month at Alpha Omega Academy is junior Ebey Piper, an artist who lives on Whidbey Island in the state of Washington. In her third year at AOA, Ebey has caught the attention of her teachers for more than just her incredible artwork.
“She is always so kind when she comes for support,” wrote math teacher Stacy Piacentini, who nominated Ebey for this month’s award. “She is a model student when it comes to reviewing for quizzes and tests. She is also a very talented artist. She is just a super sweet lady.” [Read more…]

Since he was just 12 years old, he has been running his own business.
