Join us for one of Alpha Omega Academy’s 2020 graduations. AOA will be hosting three graduations, two regional and one virtual ceremony. These ceremonies typically take place in May or June. The academy also offers a virtual ceremony as an option for students unable to travel to one of our scheduled ceremony locations.
This year, for the regional events, we are trying something new. While we are continuing to hosting one event in Orlando, Florida, the second location will be determined by the graduates. Next week, a poll will be sent out to the seniors with a few options. The results of this poll will decide where we host the second graduation event. [Read more…]
The September 2019 student of the month is Hanna Song, a senior who has attended Alpha Omega Academy for 7 years while living in other countries. The June 2019 student of the month is Abbie McKenzie, who recently completed her fourth grade year at Alpha Omega Academy. A musically gifted student from the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, Abbie had her teachers singing her praises following her first year at AOA.
“Abbie is a hard-working student who always seems to keep herself ahead of pace instead of behind,” wrote Mrs. Pamela Holland, who nominated Abbie for this month’s honor. “She does great work, asks questions, and is always respectful of the teachers and staff when she calls in. Abbie also brought up the idea of the elementary music showcase that we put into action at the end of April. This was a great event that was held for our AOA elementary students to share some of their musical talents with the other students and teachers of AOA. Abbie was looking through our clubs and classes and just reached out to the teachers suggesting that we hold something music related, as she felt that was missing from AOA. Abbie is just finishing up her school year, and I want to recognize her for her awesome effort and for making AOA an even better school! [Read more…]

Alpha Omega Academy is seeking input on updating our school vision and mission statement to more clearly state our purpose and view of education. Our aim is to have these statements more purposefully drive our decisions as we move forward as a school. As part of the AOA family, we value your opinion and want to ensure you have a voice.
Thank you to all the students who participated in our first ever AOA Instagram photo contest. We were blown away by the talent and creativity of so many of our students, and we’re excited to announce the winners!
It was difficult to pick just 3 winners from all the #withAOAican submissions we received, but we finally narrowed it down.
