Our March student of the month is Noah Schwenk, a junior at Alpha Omega Academy who lives near the forest lands and lakes of northern Wisconsin just a few miles from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Nominated by Mr. Thadd Harrington, Noah was described as a polite and fantastic student who is a great example of a Christian. “Any time he calls in, he always asks if he can pray with me before hanging up,” Harrington said. “This has been a highly positive influence on my own Christian walk.” [Read more…]
Our January student of the month is Lexie Russell, a junior at Alpha Omega Academy who has grown up along the banks of the Colorado River of Texas. Lexie was nominated by her teachers for her work ethic that has led to success both in the classroom and at rodeos, as well as her commitment to exhibiting a Christ-like character in all that she does. Our December student of the month is Isaiah Ramirez, a 7th grade student at Alpha Omega Academy who lives deep in the heart of Texas. Christmas is coming, and that means the songs are on the radio and lights brighten neighborhoods in the evening. Though we see many expressions of the celebration of Christmas at this time of year, including decorations, family events, and Christmas specials, I am reminded of how Simeon celebrated Christ’s birth. Join us for one of Alpha Omega Academy’s 2017 graduations. AOA will host three graduations, two regional and one virtual ceremony.
The Dallas area regional ceremony will be held in Allen, Texas, on May 12, 2017, at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church. The Orlando area regional ceremony will be held on June 2, 2017, at Eastland Christian School in in Orlando, Florida. In addition, the academy will offer a virtual ceremony on May 26, 2017, as an option for students unable to travel to one of our scheduled ceremony locations. [Read more…]
The elementary department has been adapting some of their online class offerings this year. One big change is the addition of our online elementary art class. This is a big adjustment with the addition of using webcams and creating the art projects right along with the students. The art projects that are chosen relate to specific artistic styles, holiday themes, or children’s stories that are read to the group as part of the classes. [Read more…]

Meet our October student of the month, Elisabeth McCurdy. She is a junior who lives in Costa Rica where her parents serve as missionaries. In her free time, Elisabeth enjoys riding horses and making music. After graduation, she plans to earn a degree in equine studies and psychology, which she’ll use to do doing equine facilitated therapy. [Read more…]
This spring, Alpha Omega Academy is offering students ages 14 and older the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tour our nation’s capital with their teachers and peers. The six-day trip to Washington, D.C., and Williamsburg, Virginia, is scheduled for April 17-22 and includes tours of well-known monuments and museums.
