Explore careers in construction with this semester-long elective for students in grades 9-12. While studying the fundamentals of building technology, students examine the design and construction of structures that are intelligent, efficient, and provide comfort to the user while causing limited impact to the environment.
Throughout the semester, the course examines both traditional and contemporary construction materials and methods, while prompting students to use critical reasoning skills as they select appropriate materials and methods of manufacture, assembly, and demolition.
