To reflect our mission to challenge and inspire all learners to succeed through our school and, as a result, ignite a passion to impact the world for the sake of God’s glory, we are proud to announce a new name and look for our school coming Fall 2021.
This is an exciting and important milestone for our school. Our new name emphasizes the strength of our capabilities, our improvements in programs, learning tools and student support, and our pledge to provide students with the best private Christian education possible. While it may seem like a significant change, rest assured, our core values and exceptional commitment to our students remain the same.
Q: What is changing?
A: This rebranding is reflected in name, logo, mascot, and other branding elements like color and design. Nothing is changing with our Christian worldview, school mission and vision, courses, teacher support, or other existing features and benefits.
Q: How soon will this occur?
A: We have started our work on this initiative, but it will take some time to complete. You will likely see both sets of branding throughout this year. However, we plan to have most of the work done by August.
Q: Does this mean I will graduate from Ignite Christian Academy instead of Alpha Omega Academy?
A: Possibly. For those who graduate on or before December 31, 2021, your diploma will be from Alpha Omega Academy. For those who graduate on or after January 1, 2022, your diploma will be from Ignite Christian Academy.
Q: What institution name will appear if I request a transcript?
A: As an official academic record of the student, it will show the current name of the institution. If you request a transcript prior to December 31, 2021, Alpha Omega Academy will be noted. Beginning January 1, 2022, your transcript will be branded Ignite Christian Academy, but there will be a note to indicate that prior to January 1, 2022, Ignite Christian Academy was known as Alpha Omega Academy.
Q: When I apply to college or for a job, which school name should I list?
A: If you graduated from Alpha Omega Academy, use the current name followed by parentheses explaining the former name. For example, you could list Ignite Christian Academy (formerly Alpha Omega Academy).
