The May 2019 student of the month is Madison Davis, a 6th grade student at Alpha Omega Academy from the Seattle metropolitan area. A student athlete with a passion for cheerleading, Madison has quickly earned applause from her teachers in her first year at AOA!
My AOA Story
I have been a student at Alpha Omega Academy for one year. I used to do Abeka homeschooling, and my mom wanted me to be able to have more interaction with real teachers when I needed help. She researched and found AOA to be the best to fit our needs.
Why I Love AOA
My favorite part of AOA is to be able to do school at home but still have amazing teachers to be able to work with daily. I think the biggest thing that has surprised me at AOA is how incredibly helpful and supportive the teachers are. My previous curriculum didn’t offer me that, and I absolutely love it.
My Favorite Subject
My favorite subject is Language Arts. I love it because I get to write and create stories and learn about all different kinds of poetry and storytelling.
I have one sister, and her name is Mackenzie. We enjoy playing basketball, cheerleading, and just being together.
In my free time, I enjoy cheerleading, swimming, bike riding, sketching, and hanging out with my friends and my sister. I am super proud of my cheerleading team making it to USA nationals and placing fifth. It was a great experience, and I’ve never worked so hard in my whole life.
I plan to attend the University of Washington where I hope to cheer while I am pursuing my degree in pediatric medicine. My dream job is to be a pediatric doctor specializing in pediatric cancer.
My Words of Wisdom
Take your time and always believe in yourself.
