The February 2019 student of the month is Zoe Guerin, a senior at Alpha Omega Academy who calls Louisiana home, but also travels around the world spreading the good news of the Bible and sharing the love of Christ.
“She is doing well academically and has a love for the Lord that is such an inspiration in today’s world,” wrote Mrs. Linda Kraft, who nominated Zoe to receive this month’s student of the month honor at AOA. “She wants to use her gifts from God now and in the future to glorify His name.”
My AOA Story
I’ve been at AOA for 2 years. My dad found out about y’all online. My dad already travels around the world preaching and I wanted to go with him.
Why I Love AOA
My favorite part about online learning is that you can work at your own pace and take your homeschool with you for traveling.
My Favorite Subject
My favorite subject is Bible because I learn more details of what God has equipped us with and how good He is.
I have a younger brother who is 15 years old. We like to go to the movies, go bowling, and go fishing on our lake.
I am most proud of going around the world with my dad and brother preaching the gospel and loving on Jesus and people, while worshipping Him with all we have. I am also proud of learning to play the piano for future worship for my dad’s ministry and doing the cameras in my dad’s studio for the schools he teaches to many people across the world on livestream. When I’m at home, I also like to read, write, and feed the geese out on our lake.
My goal is to stay with my dad’s ministry continuing to do what we are doing now, which is preaching the gospel around the world. In the future, I’d like to be a worship leader because all that worship leaders do is love on Jesus with their whole heart, having true intimacy with Him forever, and embracing Him with all their gifts and abilities while getting others to love on Him in a contagious move of the Holy Spirit. Like in 2 Chronicles 20:21, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise Him for the splendor of His holiness as they went out at the head of the army saying, “Give thanks to the Lord, for his love endures forever.” To me that sounds like the most powerful and honoring job in the world.
My Words of Wisdom
If I could offer some advice to my AOA classmates, it would be to go at your own pace, show some honor and love to your teachers, and love God with all you have while taking homeschooling with you.
